With more than 180 people visiting our co-working popup in July, we feel reasonably encouraged to continue our journey towards creating a permanent space for St Albans’ entrepreneurial community. In August we are keeping the Cricket Pavilion open for anybody who wants to escape their homes or crowded cafés. There won’t be any events – just great wifi, coffee and company at the best office north of the white cliffs of Dover. And we’ve been busy plotting out next move.
Introducing the Silicon Abbey Coworking Club
From September onwards we will run a weekly coworking club in St Albans. Every Tuesday we will open up a coworking space in St Albans with free coffee and tea and great. At lunchtime we will host a one-hour workshop or talk about a topical issue for entrepreneurs. In September we will continue to stay at the Cricket Pavilion, so put these dates in your diary:
DATES: 5th September, 12th September, 19th September 26th September
TIME: 9 am to 6 pm
PLACE: Cricket Pavilion, Clarence Park
This time you need to register in advance and there is a small payment of £4.50 for the day to cover our costs. The café downstairs will be closed, but we will offer FREE coffee, tea and biscuits throughout the day. To book your place, please go to our Eventbrite ticket page:
FROM OCTOBER ONWARDS we will be moving to a series of new venues. We’d love to stay at the pavilion, but it’s just too cold in autumn and winter. We are already in discussion with a number of exciting venues across town and will announce details soon.
AND NEXT YEAR we hope to be back at the Cricket Pavilion from April to September from Monday to Friday. Our team is working hard on putting the plan together and raise some funding for this exciting next stage of the Coworking Club. If you have any questions, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
